Interactions for Peace (I4P)
Interactions for Peace is a non-profit 501c3 corporation which officially began in 2001, however, our first interactions for peace began in 1989 as Peace Patrol. Peace Patrol, the heart of I4P, was the first curriculum including skills, strategies, and solutions that enabled people of all ages to become peaceful problems solvers. Today this grassroots effort has evolved with additional curriculum for youth, pre-school through highschool. Our motivation is to move systems toward prevention and restoration, and away from reaction and punishment.
In order to transform our youth, Interactions for Peace has created practices, programs, and partnerships to educate and guide youth to become the "teachers of peace" laying the foundation for lifelong peaceful interactions.
The Interactions for Peace Five Essential Elements identify the philosophy and principles to guide and focus all our work. These elements establish a strong foundation of self-awareness and confidence; cooperation; communication; conflict resolution and conflict transformation; and parent and community connections which become internalized within individuals of all ages.
